Compliment the Wording on Your Invitation with the Perfect Layout

Each design in the Collections wedding invitation line offers a choice of layout – standard or stylized.

The standard layout typically uses only one font, or a main font for the ceremony information and accent font for the couple’s names, plus wording styles that are more suited to formal or traditional weddings. Our standard layout option provides a wide variety of versing suggestions ranging from very formal wording that follows strict stationery etiquette to more relaxed, yet traditional wording.

Here are some examples of invitations using a standard layout:

Formal Wording:
Ellen Theresa Mills
and
Joseph Eric Benson
together with their parents
request the honour of your presence
at their marriage ceremony
on Saturday, the twenty-sixth of June
two thousand twenty-one
at one o’clock in the afternoon
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church
3850 Lourdes Drive
Decatur, Illinois

The stylized layout is a bit more playful and trendy and may break traditional rules with regard to wording. These layouts use multiple fonts as design elements to create a unique, modern look to the invitation, but still capture the essence of the information needed by the guests – who’s hosting, date, time and location.

Here are some examples of invitations using a stylized layout:

Less formal, Traditional Wording:

Together with their families
Ellen Theresa Mills
&
Joseph Eric Benson

as they are united in marriage
Saturday, the 26th of June
two thousand twenty-one
at one o’clock in the afternoon
